About Heritage Professionals
Heritage Professionals was founded in early 2012. What sets this company apart from the competition is that we are a one-stop shop for heritage related products. The President of the company and staff have the experience and expertise to deliver top-notch, cutting-edge products that meet the diverse and sophisticated needs of private and non-profit institutions today. 

Some of our areas of expertise include archival work, physical and virtual exhibitions, information management, digitization initiatives, social media development and content, historical research, video oral histories and heritage event planning. 

Heritage Professionals is situated in Toronto, Ontario. Our goal is to bring creativity and innovation to every project and surpass the expectations of our clients and their target audiences.  
Ellen Scheinberg, President
​Ellen Scheinberg completed her BA and MA degrees in history from Queen's University and her Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2007. 

Dr. Scheinberg worked as an archivist at the National Archives of Canada from 1990 to 2000. She then spent a year working for the Government of Ontario as an information management consultant. From 2002 to 2010 she served as Director of the Ontario Jewish Archives where she oversaw


the acquisition of private and public records from across the province and undertook a number of ambitious outreach initiatives such as oral history projects, physical and virtual exhibitions and historic tours. She also served as Senior Manager of Outreach and Partnership Development with the Archives of Ontario in 2011.

​During her two decade long career in the archival and information management field, Ellen has delivered dozens of workshops aimed at educating the public about how to preserve their records. She has also made a name for herself in the areas of digitization, virtual exhibitions, social media as well as other types of cutting-edge web products. 

In June 2012 she was presented with the AAO Alexander Fraser Award for individuals who have contributed in a significant way to the advancement of the archival community in Ontario. Ellen is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Heritage Toronto.
